Gary Dixon FCA MBA – Founding Chairman

Gary has operated at Board level within Financial Services since 1994 and has held almost 70 appointments in the period since then. He has been regulated as an individual by PRA, FCA, FSA, IMRO, PIA, SFA, Lloyds of London and IBRC amongst others. As a regulatory consultant he was Founder and Chief Executive of the Compliance.co.uk Group of companies which he sold in 2008 to a US based Nasdaq listed company. A previous Non-Executive Chairman of two insurance companies plus a major independent pensions firm, Gary has also been an iNED of a Building Society, Executive Director of firms of asset managers, wealth managers plus many more. A founding Director of the Association of Professional Compliance Consultants, Gary is a Fellow of the ICAEW and holds an MBA from Warwick Business School.

Alison Beeston – Founding Director

Alison most recently held the Group Risk & Compliance Director role for a FTSE 250 group of companies as well as responsibility as CF10 compliance officer and MLRO of a number of regulated entities.

Alison has over 25 years’ senior level experience in a wide range of organisations. These include banking operations, mortgage lending and advice, personal insurance provision, life assurance and investments, a mortgage network, an equity release provider and a property company. She successfully held frontline advisory roles before focusing on training and competence and then moved into risk and compliance. Having designed and implemented compliance, training & competence frameworks and risk management frameworks for a number of organisations, she is integral to the Association’s training offering.

Robbie Constance

Robbie heads the UK financial services regulatory group at international legal business, DWF.  He specialises in conduct risk and regulation, proposition and distribution, including in FinTech.  He was a ‘skilled person’ on the FCA’s s.166 panel for conduct reviews. As a regulatory consultant, he carries out governance and board effectiveness reviews, provides conduct training and assists with product and service governance. He also advises on the implementation of the Senior Managers & Certification Regime and individual accountability.

Julia Porter

Julia Porter is an experienced leader, advisor, mentor and board director. Her non-executive career includes sitting on the Boards of DMA, Origin Housing (Housing Association) and Freeview (UK’s largest free to air digital TV platform). Her consulting roles include strategic advice for business starts ups as well as marketing and CRM/data strategy consulting and accessible practitioner led GDPR advice. Her executive experience includes stints at Guardian News & Media, Getty Images, ITV and IPC Magazines. She holds an MBA from London Business School

Lee Robertson – Founding Director

Lee is a highly experienced Executive Director within the Financial Services sector, having held several board and C level positions including CEO of City-based Investment Quorum, a well-regarded and multi-award-winning wealth management boutique.  A Fellow of the CSI and Chartered Wealth Manager, he was named UK Wealth Manager of the Year in 2015 and UK Wealth Management CEO of the Year in 2017. He has been listed in the Spear’s Wealth Index as one of the UK’s top ten wealth managers since 2014. He is a judge on many separate industry awards panels and is a regular commentator within the national press and TV on financial matters.  He is the serving Master of The Guild of Entrepreneurs within the Modern Livery in 2018 and also acts as a Trustee for the charity, Promoting Equality in African Schools.

Helen Sachdev

Helen is a Board Director at Marsh & Parsons, holds NED positions at Loughborough Building Society and Communisis PLC, and is a founding member of the coaching practice WOMBA (Work and Me and the Baby).  Helen commenced her portfolio as a trustee at the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and also gained practical experience of being a Chair at the Leicester Services Partnership Limited.  She was previously a trustee at the Leicester University Students Union and also sat as an Independent Member of the Customer Committee at Genesis Housing Association.

Helen’s years of experience as a non-executive director are underpinned and enriched by her considerable executive experience, having held a number of Managing Director and Executive Director positions in blue chip Retail and Retail Banking organisations (including at Barclays Retail Bank plc, Tesco and Sainsburys). She also has experience of FinTech start-ups and UK M&A activity.
